T-shirts are traditionally printed using mesh screen stencils, in which the colors in your design are printed individually. For large orders or custom t-shirt designs with fewer colors, screen printing is more cost-effective and requires a minimum order of 12 shirts. As an alternative, digital printing uses large-format inkjet printers, similar to the desktop printer you likely have at home, to print your design directly onto your shirt. This method of t-shirt printing is best suited to orders that have lots of colors and small quantities, such as for a single custom printed tee.
